New Home Builders in Atlanta Georgia
Like most people searching for new homes right now, my husband and I are overwhelmed by soaring house prices and discouraged by the prospects of a failing economy. House prices in the area we live in are ridiculously inflated and it looked as if we’d never get out of our rental and into a home of our own.
Then the other day I was searching new home builders online, more dreaming than anything, knowing there was no way we could afford anything new, and I came across some new home builders in Atlanta Georgia. I had lived near Atlanta once and was mildly interested to see what prices were like there. I was shocked by what I found. Beautiful spacious homes with four and five bedrooms and two to three bathrooms were starting at under $200,000. That’s unheard of where we are, a house that size wouldn’t sell for under $300,000. If my husband and I wanted to spend less than $200,000 on a new home our options would be basically condos and a few town houses with three bedrooms max. No yard to speak of, maybe a garage if we’re lucky.
Initially I thought this looked too good to be true. How could a brand new home that size be so inexpensive (relatively speaking)? I compared a few new home builders in Atlanta Georgia to see how prices compared and found that real estate actually is less expensive in Atlanta (although of course some deals are better than others).
I shared this find with my husband and we are now considering the possibility of moving to Atlanta to take advantage of buying a nice new home that’s big enough for a family and that we can actually afford.
