According to Judaism, Jews are expected to marry each other. However, sometimes love takes a different direction, as a Jewish person may fall in love with someone who is not of their faith. And, in the course of the relationship, sometimes the non-Jewish person discovers that in actuality God is leading them to their spouseâs religion. In these situations, the EJF can help with the conversion process.
What is the EJF? Also known as the Eternal Jewish Family, the EJF is an organization dedicated towards helping interfaith families achieve a âJewish destiny,â as dictated by the halacha. To do this, the EJF focuses on both spouses. For the Jewish spouse, the EJF helps them return to a life of orthodoxy. For the non-Jewish spouse, the EJF helps initiate the conversion process.
